ATC Quality Systems

ATC’s standard Quality System meets or exceeds the requirements of MIL-I-45208A, “Inspection System Requirements.” All test equipment is calibrated and maintained in accordance with Mil-STC-45662A, “Calibration system requirements.”

The ATC Quality Assurance Organization provides the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation required to establish complete compliance with contractual quality requirements. The quality assurance system ensures effective control over the quality of all products, processes and services during design, development and production. It has full authority and the organizational freedom to investigate and resolve quality problems. Quality Assurance at ATC is under the control of the manager of Quality Assurance, who reports to the President of ATC.

Quality Assurance has established close liaisons with all support groups in order to maintain the required quality objectives. Quality Assurance will participate in all internal program reviews, to confirm that all quality requirements are considered and acted upon during the production phase.

As part of quality planning, coordination and assurance, the following activities are conducted with emphasis on Preventative Quality Controls:

  • Review of Contract Requirements
  • Review of Customer Specifications, Drawings and/or Technical Documents
  • Review of Process and Inspection Specifications
  • Part’s Control (Approved Vendors)
  • Vendor surveillance and control
  • Test Specifications and Review
  • Program Product Review Participation
  • Establish Unique Training Requirements, Special Controls, Fixtures, and Tooling to Assure Product Quality
  • Review of Manufacturing Documentation for Control and Compliance to Contract Specification

 

Quality Assurance also generates the following items on an as needed basis:

  • Acceptance Test Procedures
  • Acceptance Test Reports
  • Qualification Test Procedures
  • Qualification Test Reports
  • Special Process Procedures
